OB. SESSED.

Found this chick on instagram and immediately became obsessed with her. Well, her hair at least. I first loved it on Bianca (of the amazing sister duo blog, kastor & pollux) a while ago and I fell in love with it again on this chick, Ahlice of rudegirrl on tumblr! I think one day when I lose enough body fat—i.e., when I'm skinny—I will most definitely cut it. But for now, enjoy these pictures of these amazing females!

Here's a few of Ahlice...

And a few of Bianca!

LA Date with my love

I am love, love, LOVING my summer thus far. I finally finished general chemistry and began my summer in Northridge the day after finishing. I decided to take Thursday off and just chill instead of leaving for Northridge right away. To be honest, chemistry was so freakin hard at UCR. Not only that, but it was condensed in half. Whatever. I drove Jill and I to LA on Friday afternoon. I dropped her off in Eagle Rock then made a B line to Jon's. We chilled the rest of the day but decided to have a date all over LA the next day.

We had breakfast and lunch at home. Then we got up and ready and headed to Sprinkles Beverly Hills. Ugh, so fun visiting BH! I wish I got to see my friend, Kristin, at Sprinkles but the timing just wasn't right. Nonetheless, I got scoop of red velvet ice cream in a red velvet ice cream cone. So. Yumz.

Menu! It included ice cream sandwiched in between two cupcake tops, various ice cream flavors in cones or in a cup topped with cupcake crumbles, etc. So. Delicious.
The ice cream counter. So creative and minimalistic, I love it. It showed off the cups and toppings.
Modestly shown happiness despite Heaven sitting directly in my hands at this moment.
Ain't he a cutie...... :)

After BH, we were going to visit K-Town to retrace some of Jon's old roots but decided to leave a with a raincheck for another time. Instead we went home. I soaked for a bit. After a few hours we decided to go out again and have dinner at Umami Burger. Can you say "Foodventure Day?!" We changed clothes and dressed down some since we were going into Burbank/Studio City for umami eats. We decided to head to the closest location to us—Umami Burger: Burbank.

Upon arrival, it was lovely. I think we got there just before 6pm and was seated immediately. The surrounding homes were adorable too...And pretty. The weather was perfect too. Anyway. The menu was short, simple, and to the point. I must say, there were no substitutions as these combinations for their burgers were specifically created to stimulate that fifth taste bud called "umami." Thus, Umami Burger was born. Lol. After deliberation, Jon was absolutely set on the original burger with thin crispy fries. I felt sure about the truffle burger with sweet potato fries.

Ugh I could jizz in my undies rn. The burgers were so delicious. They were decently portioned with fries on the side but I was definitely full. The truffle burger was amaze but I think I was too ambitious with that one! It was incredibly rich and I stuffed myself with it. But it was so rich I probably could have stopped halfway and been more than satisfied. On the other hand, Jon loved his burger. I'm sure that if he had the choice, he probably would've named it the Perfect Burger instead of the original.

There were other sides to choose from other than fries, like tempura battered onion rings and cheesy tots....I'm getting hungry thinking about all of this. UGH. The atmosphere was great. It was like a modern retro feel. Idek, but I thought it was so cute that their sodas came from a glass bottles. I want to try one of their Umami Dogs in the future but this definitely won't be my last time visiting Umami Burger!

Three sauces to choose from: a truffle sometime, garlic aioli, and housemade ketchup. The ketchup is THE BEST. You can seriously taste the tomatoes. Amaze, I tell yah.

After dinner, we finally headed home to chill. I actually don't remember what happened afterwards due to a heavy food coma and a satisfied stomach but all I know was that I didn't work out the day after. LOL.

More to come within the next few days about how I've been spending my summer now that I have the leisure time.

My condolences to Spring Quarter 2013

...only because you're about to be KILLED.

Monday's aren't all that bad if only I was able to go at my own pace. Like a smoother transition like today is so much more appreciated than my typical Monday's. Nonetheless, there is some great improvement in my room since my $300 or so air bed is a little more permanent—or maybe long term temporary? Hahaha. Anyway, here are a couple pictures.

Here is my bed set up. I actually really love it! It's probably not going to change as it is so I'm quite content. My bed is perpendicular to the window and my makeshift bedside stand is also really cute. It's comprised of a few shoe boxes and textbooks topped with my jewelry containers and whiteboard that has reminders.

The rest of my room is an organized mess but hopefully this Thursday night and Friday morning I can get more things squared away. Pictures of my *walk in* closet to come!

I love this place. I'm so blessed to be this content with everything at this point in time. The hasty move was a bump in the road but everything could not have transitioned so well. Thank you, God.

Ideal LA Girls Date fit!

Ideal LA Girls Date fit!

Jeffrey Campbell high heel / American Apparel silver watch / American Apparel wool hat

I am DYING to wear a fit similar to this! Raiza, Kristine, Katriana, and I are planning to have a girls date in LA later this month or sometime in April and I absolutely love this fit. I'm planning on purchasing that Brandy Melville Grace dress at the end of the quarter (or maybe this weekend). Ugh. Lusting. I'll probably called PB and Topanga after I write this. My fit is gonna be so neutral, lol! I was thinking about how it'd look with the Marc by Marc Jacobs purses in Diva Pink but I think it's too much. I'll just depend on my lime green American Apparel lacquer. It's perfect.

Marc by Marc Jacobs purses for summer

So, like, I went to Nordy's today with Liz with the intention of quickly buying Mac's Fluidline Blacktrack. I got caught up. I ended up looking at tons of purses that I'm now lusting to have. Maybe I can make a deal with my mom where if I make the dean's list for both Winter, Spring, and Summer quarters, she'll buy me one of my choice. Or maybe two for a grand total of $400-$500...lol. That's kinda pushing it, LOL.

Anyway, here's the breakdown of my thought process if I had the choice, lol!

Colorwise! I love, love, love that neon pink (formally called "Diva Pink"). I think it's perfect for summer and would pair so beautifully with loose black summer dresses and my medium long ombré tresses. It's the perfect bold, but feminine neon. I also really love that blush pink (formally, "Apricot Rose"). It's such a gorgeous peachy blush color that would look amazing with more casual looks, like denim and white. Finally, we get to that incredible light gray color (called "Oyster"). You already know how I feel about grays. Hahaha!

In the top row we have the Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Natasha in Diva Pink, Oyster, and Apricot rose. Its dimensions are as follows: 20" x 4.5" x 14". It's the largest of the four styles I've featured and I don't think would be too "huge" as an everyday bag. I actually think it's a great size—but perhaps a little bit on the bigger side though doable. This purse sells for $368.

I wouldn't mind opting for the Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Lil Ukita purse though, simply because it's a few inches smaller. With 13" x 4" x 11" in dimension, I think this would be my best bet. It's not too big but not too small to rock. My only wish is that it had the convex zipper flap that the Natasha has. This purse sells for $428. Kinda crazy that it's $60 more than the Natasha considering that it's smaller and doesn't have as much space...haha.

Next, we have the Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Isabelle also in Diva Pink. It's literally like a mini Lil Ukita but without the shoulder/elbow strap and about half the size (8.25" x 2.75" x 6.75"). But it is on the smaller size. I think it would be most useful if I was a party goer at night because less is definitely more, but since I'm such a day person, this would be on the smaller side. This purse retails at $228 and is my third choice.

Finally we have the Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Percy in Diva Pink and Apricot Rose. This is the smallest of all four purses at 10” x .75" x 6.5". The size is comparable to the Isabelle but this is definitely the most "clutch like" crossbody. It's tiny but doable and is the cheapest of the four at $198. Not my favorite though. It's my last option.

Anyway, ugh. So many wants. But it's 11:40pm and I should seriously go to sleep. Reminder to self: grind hard so you "deserve" these things.
