2nd Annual San Diego Filipino SDA Convocation/Pickups

So this year, the Filipino Convocation was about a month earlier. I can't say I was too excited for this convocation this year because with school just starting and catching up with Summer assignments, I just was exhausted by the time Friday night came around. Vespers at PV was interesting.. Hanging out in the balcony with Aijalon, EJ, Danny, Ken, and Grace Ann was fun, haha. I was totally ready to knock out when we got back to Fil-Am to rehearse for the Special Feature program after service the next day; I was so cranky! But with a full night of sleep, I was hella ready to get my Sabbath on ;]

I can't stress enough of how much I enjoyed convocation this year! I saw my PV friends again, and the live paintings by Pastor Alex Riano kept me interested. It was amazing watching him paint a different piece every time we went into a new theme. There were 7 themes, the Creation, the Flood, Crossing the Red Sea/the Ten Commandments, Nativity/Crucifixion/Resurrection, Ministry in the Heavenly Sanctuary, Second Coming, and New Jerusalem. Each painting cost over $200 to offset the material cost and what not, but all in all, the experience was dope. I don't know how we're gonna top convocation next year, haha.

After the convocation was a little after party at the Valdez-Sheets house. Hella food, hella fun, and reminiscing about Oshkosh. Got home before midnight.

Kayla's birthday :]

Before we get down to business, here's what's been going on:
- SCPA vs. San Diego Academy
- I might be on handbells
- still no bio, still taking computers and health
- I might switch back
- had my first physical today. the nurse was really nice :]

For Kayla's birthday, we chilled mostly at home. When some of the people flaked on Kayla, I called in some back up. I hit up Aijalon, and Sylvione brought Kirk along, and we ended up having a blast. First, we went to Otay Ranch Town Center to the AMC and we saw The Time Traveler's Wife and it was really good. It's confusing if you don't pay attention, but it's a really intense romance movie. Even Aijalon cried, LOL. But anyway, after the movie, we headed downtown to the Gaslamp Quarter and waited for about an hour to eat at The Old Spaghetti Factory. While we waited, we dropped by Pinkberry. My sister and I shared coconut yogurt with strawberries and bananas. After Pinkberry we walked around the Gaslamp a little bit. After a while, we went back to the Old Spaghetti Factory and had dinner. The food wasn't as great as I thought it would be, but my sister had the Mud Pie, and it was amaaazing. When dinner was over, we walked around downtown. We kept ALMOST getting pulled into clubs, HAHA! especially Sylvione and Kayla. They were so dressed up, HAHA. A while later, we went to the parking garage and left and went home. I was sooo beat when I got into the car, so I fell asleep. When I got home, I took a shower and ko'd :] But anyway, here's some pictures, so enjoy :]

Haircut/Homework/Heather's party

So last Monday, I ended up cutting my hair. My mom always has hairstylists come to our house. I just hate cleaning up afterwards. But anyway, it was fun, and I think I should have cut it a little bit shorter! It's cute. And a lot different than what I had before.

So I'm "catching up" this weekend, and so far I'm almost done with the US History notes,

except I'm not really taking notes.

Rewind! Back to Saturday night :] So, Nathan and Kym and a few other people planned Heather a nice little surprise party. Kuya Roy, Aijalon, Francis, and Ken kept her busy around SD going to Mitsuwa and stuff while everyone got to the Bandong's house. It was funny because her dad called her sounding very angry, and usually she's not allowed to hang out with just boys, so she was totallyyyyy falling for it. When all of the guests arrived, I hella thought we couldn't cooperate and get it together because no one was hiding! But when kuya Roy's car came around the corner, EVERYONE hella ran for a spot. When Nathan answered the door, even was trying way hard not to crack up. Then Heather come skipping/running in and then everyone screamed, "SURPRISE!" and she was just running around, screaming, and looking at everyone! It was hilarious. I wish that I hadn't been so into it so I could have taken a picture of her face.


After we ate, a few of us played Mississippi Queen... I ended up winning :D

After, we played some "sultan of" somethinggg game. It took foreverrr and we still didn't finish it.

- schedule: religion/Bible, english iii, us history, health, coed pe, lunch, precalc, computers, and yearbook
- retaking health and computers because I took those classes in middle school, and they don't tranfer T___T
- missing biology
- saw my old best guy friend at the mall.. he changed. a lot.
- also saw uncle joe, charlene, sheila, jennifer, and auntie nelda lol
- I have a lot of assignments to catch up
- I wanna learn His Eye Is On the Sparrow!
- and lastly, I cut my hair :]
