Day 13 and 14

Monday, 6/27, Day 13

  • Cleaned
  • A lot.
  • Went to the dog park only to see Max be the boxer he is and get fucked up by a bulldog
  • Got shit talked and put under a bus by a racist white man with an overweight black lab...how ironic.
  • Drove home in silence except for the lowkey depressing indie music by DJ Kmae
  • Made lasagna and salad for dinner
  • Worked out
  • Shower
  • Sleep
Today, Tuesday, 6/28, Day 14
  • Slept in until 8:30am
  • Kept Jon company prior to his dentist appointment...I definitely tried to calm his nerves because he was going to get his wisdom teeth pulled
  • Kicked it for a bit
  • Got ready by noon
  • Drove my dad, Kayla, and I to Miramar
  • Ate at Ashoke the Great—an Indian Restaurant. (I'll yelp review it possibly tomorrow but I may not be an authentic source because 1) I'm not Indian, 2) I'm not as knowledgeable of Indian food as I am with Japanese, Chinese, or other Asian foods, 3) I'm not Indian...)
  • Drove all the way home
  • Mica vented to Kayla and I was so about to swoop her up so quick.
  • Picked up Angelo
  • Watched The Tuxedo with Kayla and Angelo
  • Tried to keep Jon more company after his appointment because the numbness was wearing off and the pain was definitely all present in his mouth
  • Took a nap
  • Woke up to chill, eat, and watch TV
  • Watched Pretty Little Liars and tweeted my reactions
  • Worked out

Day 12

For my own reference. I definitely want to remember this summer.
  • Woke up
  • Ate cinnamon rolls, corned beef, and eggs
  • Wore red heels, gray harem pants, and a pink ruffled sleeveless top
  • Went to Sabbath School and church
  • Had lunch at Villa Manila
  • Ate some of Kayla's chicken mami (which was delish!), Filipino spaghetti (which isn't my cup of tea), and some of my mom's Filipino fried chicken and rice—I'll do a yelp review sometime soon, I promise.
  • Chilled at home for a bit
  • Left and visited Country Kennels and PetSmart's hotel in El Cajon
  • Bought Max this harness which allows us to control him better than a regular collar
  • Shopped a bit at Marshall's—I got a couple pieces
  • Went home to re-get ready lol
  • Drove to Plaza to watch a movie
  • Kayla and I went to Jamba Juice so she could get her sixteen oz White Gummy but they gave her an original instead hawhawhaw
  • Successfully went to H&M to get a bag to hide her drink in
  • Walked back to AMC to watch Bad Teacher (which was also pretty funny and a great movie, but not a favorite of mine)
And now I'm home. I suppose I'll bullet my day more often :)

The Product of Productivity

Tuesday, the first day of my summer, I did a lot—which I might add that I am thankful that I can drive myself around now or else I would not have been able to accomplish anything.

I had a rude awakening from my dad who demanded I bring my younger brother to school that morning which then led me to go to Celine's house consequently. We planned to go out for breakfast at Bagel Bar (to see my review, click here!). I had the "traditional salmon platter" which was basically lox, complete with tomatoes, cucumbers, capers, cream cheese (although, it might have been sour cream for all I care), and thinly sliced red onions (which I completely appreciated!!). Celine shared her blueberry muffin which me which was also very sweet. We sat at the bagel bar and ate our food after we ordered. I ended up only eating on side of my bagel and brought the other side home for Kayla, my younger sister.

After breakfast, we headed back to our old high school to fill out forms to send out our final transcripts to our university of choice. When we finished, we decided to visit some of our high school teachers from the science and English departments. From there, we ended up pranking our AP English Literature teacher by sticking sticky notes on his car and putting unused toilet seat covers in between spaces from his door handles inside his trunk, in between the spokes of his wheels, and even in his grill! Hahaha. It was definitely sweet stuff considering the fact that Celine, An, and I didn't end up pranking him before we graduated.

Later, I dropped Celine off before 10am and ended up visiting her again after I picked up Angelo, my younger brother, from school at 2pm. She hooked me up with a Sprinkles vanilla and Angelo with a Sprinkles dark chocolate—nomz!

That afternoon, Kayla and I began Insanity all over again (which is a whole other post in itself!). Afterwards, we picked up some Pirates Booty and headed to our dear friend, Sidney's, house to watch the season premiere of Pretty Little Liars! Kayla and I had some of her mom's cactus with rice (which happened to be pretty delicious) while Sidney was making homemade lemonade. The episode was disappointing, but I was just glad to spend some time with two of my best girlfriends! :)

Our ode to Pretty Little Liars summer tradition! We've established that we'll go to each other's house (alternating) every week to watch the new episode :)

Wednesday, unfortunately, was not all productive. But, my sister and I did manage to bring Max to the Mt. San Miguel dog park to play for a bit!

Today was definitely better. From picking up Angelo around 2pm, I chilled and committed to my daily workout with Kayla. Later, we visited my elementary school where I ran into my kindergarten teacher and told her about my graduation. I definitely wish I could have invited her, but I held back :P Nonetheless, I was extremely happy to see her. Later, Kayla and I stopped by Hans and Harry's, Baskin Robbins, several Starbucks, and other stores to see if they were hiring. After I gave up, we stopped at Bento & Noodles for dinner (click here to see my review). Let's just say I'd rather eat at Hanaoka any day. Finally, we drove home and watched So You Think You Can Dance with our mom.

G'morning, Summer

Second day of summer. While my summer started off so incredibly correct yesterday, I'm going to start my series of summer blogging with graduation pictures. Oh yea, I finally graduated high school—which distinguished honors/magna cum laude. :)

For my late lunch and early dinner, we ate at BJ's. I don't know who picked the restaurant, but hey, the pizookie was delish like always.
For reference of my outfit: silence + noise cropped blazer (via Urban Outfitters), dress from Urban Outfitters, heels and oversized clutch via Aldo.

"...they reached me..."

Throughout my entire senior year, we've been creatively writing while implementing a prompt. The prompt is the title and this is my writing.

8 days. 10 days. Now 26. 75. 93. 137. 182. 203. 251. 298. 303. 321. 333. 355. 364.

365...and they finally reached me. Past the fact that we've webcammed and spoken on the phone for hours daily, it's been 365 days since we've last been together--365 days and counting. We love, we talk, we fight, we argue, and we make up. And despire the fact we've done all we can to preserve and put such an important relationship on pause physically, I haven't felt any less inadequate--we still have three months in between us and you still expect me to maintain my tenacity?

We're not as strong as we used to be...but I love you...and love is stronger than us.
