The After Life...of High School.

So right now, I'm currently sitting in the Matador Bookstore that I rarely ever visit.... usually just to buy testing supplies—which is actually the reason why I'm here. I just bought a packet of scantrons and a green essay booklet for the last of my finals next week. I just finished sitting in my last session of two of my favorite classes thus far and am now reminiscing. Life after high school is crazy. As a matter of fact, life after your senior year in high school is just nuts. Everything is constantly changing and when you think you have the hang of things, shit happens and you're thrown in a deeper pool to swim in. Cliche, I know. More specifically, in college, things are just so different. Well, this only happens if you leave home and go to a university where you know 0.1% of the student body. Yeah, that's my life. But it's cool.

One thing that astounds me in particular is how much crazy change there is. I guess it just has to do with there are not comfort seats or teachers to spoon feed you—which is fine. I'm actually glad that there aren't professors that are like that because then you really see who will succeed in college. You'd think that in college, when given a 15 minute presentation, people would know their material when presenting in class. Nope, that's not true. Seriously, only the most determined and headstrong individuals will really make it in college—regardless of what they're studying and their major. I like to think of myself as a prime example...but that would kind of ruin my credibility. OKAY, whatever. I think I'm just not over the fact that in the last 4 months of second semester, I've only gotten to know a few people in the three minor classes I'm in and that the likelihood of me ever seeing them is slim to none.

But like I said, things change. Life goes on. Consistency only stays consistent if you want it to. But all in all, I'm satisfied with what's stayed consistent in my life thus far and am happy for the change that bombarded me.

Congrats to the class of 2011-2012! High school and college.
