Summer Escapades

I want to post everything that happens this summer. It's been crazy since I finished finals. Not only have I (almost completely) moved out of Northridge, but my future is uncertain as of this fall. But whatever. Not the point right now. It's actually been almost more than a month since I've finished.

Before I moved out of Granada Hills, I got to spend a good week and a half with the love of my life. It was mostly eating and watching tv, movies, and Naruto.

We made spam musubi as a big snack with Korean seasoned seaweed.

I also have gone back and forth from San Diego.

Strawberry, blueberry, and banana smoothie.
QT with my dad at our favorite Indian restaurant in San Diego.
Kayla and one of the posters I made for her Junior Class VP campaign.
Nabeyaki udon! My favorite!
Blazer: Urban Outfitters, dress and purse: Forever 21, shoes: JC Lita's
Dinner with my parents at Manna (Korean) BBQ since my siblings were camping.
Maxie baby :)
Sprinkles La Jolla run with my dad to visit my good friend, Kristin! Picked up a cinnamon sugar, vanilla with sprinkles, strawberry, and peanut butter chocolate cupcakes.
Feastin'! Salted pepper chicken, eggplant, house chow mein, Chinese broccoli, salted pepper tofu, and kung pao chicken.
That following Wednesday, I went to Manna again to chill with a friend who was just recently deployed to South America.
At PAPIA's sixth annual banquet with JR, Kirby, and Karl--my homeboys from high school!
Kayla and I dressed to a T!
3.5 miles up at the top of Iron Mountain.
After Iron Mountain, we went to BJ's for dinner and pool. Jacket: H&M, dress and shoes: Forever 21, purse: Hellz Bellz.
I returned to Northridge the following Monday to spend time with Jon. Luckily, my gorgeous JC Alexa wedges came in.
Shrimp tempura sushi :) It looks a lot better than it tastes, haha! There's definitely room for improvement, haha.
The next day for lunch, Jon took me to try Tommy's for the first time! I had a chili dog with everything and chili cheese fries. Ugh, just thinking about that chili dog makes my mouth salivate. There's no other chili dog out here in San Diego like there is of Tommy's.
For breakfast the next day, Jon made me this incredible strawberry, blueberry, banana smoothie which I had with cheerios. I've really become fond of this kind of combination--a smoothie with cereal.
Sad eyes, but a portrait of me.
My outfit for two graduation parties! Dress: American Apparel, sunglasses and wallet: Forever 21, purse: vintage, wedges: Jeffrey Campbell.
The letter I got from Laarni! Ooh speaking of, I need to write back, haha.
The first time I've ever gotten acrylic nails, let alone a stiletto length! I love them!
I also donated a pint of blood with my dad! It was exciting! My experience was fun too, especially because my dad knew most of the nurses working at the blood bank since he's such a regular. I want to be a "regular" too...one of the reasons is because to meet the criteria of a volunteer, you have to wait an entire year after getting a tattoo to donate blood. This will keep me from wanting to get a tattoo. I also found that when you donate blood, you rack up points to get rewards. I think that's awesome. In addition, I met a 79-year-old volunteer who has donated more than 20 gallons of blood in her lifetime. Incredible, right?
We had Hanaoka for lunch. I had the Ten Zaru which is cold soba noodles served with a dipping sauce and shrimp tempura. I love soup, so this is like the summery version of what I order instead of hot udon!
This past Tuesday, my sister, her boyfriend, and I treated our friend, Kym, to Manna since she'd never had Korean bbq before! It was nice.
We also took her to Sprinkles for her first time. It was awesome! We also were able to see Kristin again. I adore this shot I took and how I was able to edit it all just from my iPhone.
My outfit. Denim button up and skirt: Forever 21, t-shirt: Married to the Mob, purse: Hellz Bellz, necklace: Urban Outfitters, heels: Jeffrey Campbell.
Halo-halo with a scoop of ube ice cream on a hot day!
After vespers on Friday, Kayla and I finished watching Jumping the Broom and had a bean, cheese, rice, and sour cream burrito. Ughhh it was great.
Sabbath morning breakfast: strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, banana smoothie.
Sabbath outfit. Blazer: Urban Outfitters, tank top: H&M, harem pants: Forever 21, shoes: Cotton On, necklace: Francesca's Collection, purse: vintage, and sunglasses: Walmart (believe it or not!).
Also, Kayla and I have kept ourselves busy by making candy leis for the 2012 soon-to-be graduates tomorrow! We made 10 :)
XOXO,
